Convyo Privacy Policy
Convyo is a browser extension that helps users generate contextual replies from conversation screenshots. This policy explains what data the extension processes and how that data is used.
Data we process
- Conversation screenshots or screen regions that the user explicitly selects.
- Conversation text extracted from those screenshots for the purpose of generating replies.
- Extension settings and profile preferences stored locally in the browser.
- Clipboard content only when the user uses the copy or paste-related features in Convyo.
How we use data
Convyo uses user-triggered screenshots and related conversation content to generate suggested replies, improve the current response flow, and save the user's local preferences.
Where data is sent
When the user starts a capture or reply generation flow, selected screenshot content may be sent to the configured AI service provider so the extension can extract context and generate replies. Convyo does not use this data for advertising, unrelated profiling, or credit decisions.
Storage and retention
Convyo stores settings locally in the browser. It does not intentionally store conversation screenshots on Convyo-operated servers. Any retention by third-party AI providers is governed by their own policies.
Sharing
Convyo does not sell user data. Data is only transferred for the approved use case of providing the extension's reply-generation features.
Permissions
Convyo requests permissions such as storage, tabs, activeTab, windows, and clipboard access so it can capture the active conversation, generate replies, and copy results for the user.
